Terms & Conditions

You need an account to host an event. Keep your password to yourself, use a real email address so we can reach you about your own event, and tell us at our published contact address if you think someone else has got in. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 16, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Guests do not need an account — an invitation code is enough.

Planning is free. You pay a one-time fee when you publish an event, and optionally for a custom domain. Prices are shown before you pay and charged through Stripe; we never see your card number.

Publishing is tied to the event, not a subscription — there is nothing recurring to cancel. If something goes wrong with a payment, write to our published contact address and we will sort it out, including a refund where a publish never actually delivered what you paid for.

This is the clause that matters most, so it is not buried. When you upload a guest list you are giving us other people's names, phone numbers, home addresses and sometimes their dietary and accessibility needs. You confirm that:

you are entitled to hold those details and to share them with us for this purpose; you will keep them accurate and delete what you no longer need; and if a guest asks you to correct or remove something, you will act on it. Under data protection law you are the controller of that information and we process it for you — see the Privacy Policy. If a guest comes to us directly we will help them and let you know.

VoyaLife will send email, SMS and WhatsApp on your behalf, to the people you choose. You must only message people who would expect to hear from you about this celebration. Do not use it for marketing, promotions, political messaging, or anything unrelated to your event.

Honour opt-outs immediately — if someone asks you to stop, stop. Bulk messaging to people who did not expect it endangers the phone numbers and sending domains every other host relies on, so this is the one rule we enforce without warning: we may suspend sending on an account the moment we see it abused.

Do not upload anything unlawful, hateful, or infringing. Do not upload someone's photograph if they would object to it being there. Do not attempt to reach events or guest lists that are not yours, probe or attack the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to build a competing product. Do not use invitation codes or guest links you were not given.

Automated access is fine through our documented API and AI connector, using your own credentials, within the rate limits. Working around those limits is not.

Your photographs, guest list, designs and words remain yours. You give us only the permission we need to actually run the service — to store your content, show it to the people you have invited, put it in the invitations and website you asked us to generate, and keep backups. That permission ends when you delete the content, apart from backups aging out and anything we must keep by law.

VoyaLife itself — the software, the templates, the name — stays ours. Publishing an event does not transfer any of it to you.

Seating suggestions, invitation copy, translations, extracted itineraries and generated imagery are produced by AI models and are a starting point, not advice. They can be wrong, and they can be confidently wrong. Read what they produce before you send it to four hundred people — you are the one publishing it. We do not guarantee any particular output, and generated imagery may resemble other generated imagery.

We work hard to keep VoyaLife up, especially on a wedding day, but we do not promise uninterrupted service and we occasionally have to take it down to fix or improve something. There is no uptime guarantee attached to these terms.

Because a run sheet is the kind of thing you need when the wifi is bad, export or print anything you would be stuck without. That is genuine advice, not just a disclaimer.

VoyaLife is provided as it is. Beyond what the law where you live gives you and we cannot exclude, we do not make warranties that it will be error-free or fit a particular purpose.

We are responsible for loss we actually cause by breaking these terms. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for a decision you made on the strength of an AI suggestion. Where a cap applies, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us for the event in question. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, and nothing here removes a consumer right you hold by statute.

You can stop using VoyaLife whenever you like and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — for anything other than abuse of messaging or an attack on the service, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account without cause and you have paid to publish an event that has not happened, we will refund it.

If we change these terms materially we will update the date at the top and email account holders before it takes effect; continuing to use VoyaLife after that means accepting the change. If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
